Regular musings about those things most important in life--especially family, music, and college athletics. I hope you laugh. Please don't throw rocks at me.

Question of the Day

Everyone loves the hypotheticals:

If you were trapped on a deserted island, what three things would you want to have with you?

Note: One cannot opt for something that would make them "un-trapped"--i.e. a life raft, a boat, a helicopter, a plane, etc. Just settle in and get real comfortable on the island, you're going to be there a while okay.

1. Large Print NASB Bible
2. Acoustic Guitar
3. Large blank journal and a box of pencils

I struggled to not put my most beautiful wife as one of the "items" but felt that would be cheating....I also only choose luxury items....not things like knives or axes or pots/pans etc...

1. I appreciate Tater's respect for his wife, but I WOULD include my husband as a "thing" for these purposes. He's handy as MacGyver, and I'd be foolish not to include him.

2. Bible

3. My Sealy Posturpedic (a pile of palm leaves just won't cut it).

I pondered and pondered the ipod but I have to say that I enjoy journaling a lot and it would be effective in documenting this journey as well as something to look back upon while you were there....the ipod would get old after a while....it really would...no it REALLY, REALLY would. When I go wilderness camping or "away" from people in isolation...music becomes very secondary....I know we all LOVE music here but I think it would get old after a while. Now if we were all together on this island with the things we brought....look out BEER and ZEBRA CAKES!!
What about "amazing" what's he bringing??

This question has plagued me for days. I must have a shower, shampoo and soap. And my cat.
