Question of the Day

If you could change one rule in any one sport, game, or contest what would it be?

Example: You could make basketball have to be played on roller skates; or allow goaltending in basketball.

i'd eliminate the three-point line.

That would give us at least two more national championships (ahem Arizona in 97' ahem... all Mike bibby did was shoot threes he and Miles Simon -- ahem)

First of all, chopper1, you forgot HOCKEY. Now you can argue if hockey or football is better but, come on, basketball? and baseball?? I'm too upset to think, what was the question?

I would say.. Allow medieval weapons into all sports... That would make it more competitive... Arms flying left and right and they would be putting themselves at risk for the 14 million they make a year... Wowzers..

Here's what I would do...

You turn Professional Baseball into a system like English Soccer.

The classes (MLB, AAA, AA, A) are ordered. If you finish in the bottom 3 of the Majors (a la Tampa Bay, Seattle, and Kansas City), you go down to Triple A. If you finish in the Top 3 in AAA, you move up.

This would cause problems with the farm system, but it would give Kansas City and Tampa Bay fans something to hope for. Because right now they'd be playing away games in Burlington, if I had my way.
